Project Recovery & Completion

Take over a delayed, incomplete or troubled project and move it toward a stable, launch-ready result, starting with an honest audit rather than a default rebuild.

Overview

The audit comes before the quote, not after

Most recovery projects arrive with a story: a freelancer went dark, an agency ran out of runway, the app was generated quickly with an AI tool and started breaking once real users arrived, or the codebase quietly turned into something nobody on the current team fully understands. The instinct is often to assume it all needs rebuilding. Sometimes that's true. Often the foundation is fine and the real problem is narrower than it looks from the outside.

We start with an honest audit of what's actually there, code quality, what's working, what's genuinely broken, before recommending anything. Then we stabilize what's salvageable, rebuild what isn't, and move the project toward a result you can actually launch, with a clear account of what changed and why along the way.

We won't default to a rebuild

A full rebuild is sometimes the right call. It's also the easiest thing to recommend without actually looking closely first, and we'd rather look closely.

What's included

Stabilize first, then move toward launch

Codebase & project audit

An honest look at what's actually there before anything gets quoted or promised.

Fix-vs-rebuild recommendation

A clear, reasoned recommendation, not a default answer decided before the audit happened.

Stabilization

The current build made reliable enough to safely continue working on, before new work stacks on top of it.

Completion toward launch

The remaining work scoped and delivered against a real, achievable launch date.

Questions

Common questions about project recovery

5 questions

Can you take over a project built by another agency or freelancer?

Yes, this is most of what recovery work is. We don't need the original developer available, though any documentation, access or context you can pass along shortens the audit.

Do you always recommend a rebuild?

No, and we're wary of any recovery process that does by default. Plenty of stalled projects have a solid foundation and just need the right hands finishing them. We'll tell you honestly which situation yours is.

How do you estimate a project you didn't start?

With an audit first. We can't quote fixing or completing something we haven't actually looked at, so the first step is understanding the codebase and remaining scope before any numbers get attached to it.

The project was built with an AI tool like Lovable, Bolt or Cursor. Can you take it over?

Yes. It's now one of the most common recovery requests. The audit focuses first on the areas these tools most often get wrong, security rules, authentication and data handling, and our AI-Built App Rescue service covers this in detail.

What if the original developer is unreachable?

Common, and not a blocker. We work from what's actually in the codebase, repo history and any documentation left behind, rather than depending on the original developer being available to explain decisions.

Ready to get started?

Send us what's there, we'll tell you what it needs.

Repo access, a live link, whatever you've got, and we'll come back with an honest audit and a clear recommendation before quoting anything.

No obligation to continue past the audit if a rebuild elsewhere turns out to be the better call.
