What is an MCP server, and do we need one?
MCP is an open standard AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude use to connect to other software. With an MCP server, your users can ask their assistant to look something up or change something in your product. It's worth it if your customers already use assistants for work.
Which workflows are worth automating?
Repetitive, well-defined tasks where an occasional human check is fine. Work that needs a lot of judgment, or rarely repeats, is usually a poor fit, and we'll say so.
