Custom theme development
Built from your Figma or PSD files, not a modified stock theme, and matched to the design down to spacing and type.
Overview
WordPress runs a huge share of the web, which also means most WordPress builds inherit a huge share of its bad habits: bloated page builders, a dozen barely-maintained plugins fighting each other, and a theme nobody on the current team actually understands. We build the other kind. A clean theme, a content model that matches how your editors actually work, and a codebase your next developer won't need us around to explain.
Most projects fall into one of two buckets. Either you need a traditional WordPress build (custom theme, Gutenberg blocks or ACF fields, editor-friendly page templates) or you need WordPress purely as a content source behind a faster frontend. We do both. This site is actually an example of the second one: it's a Next.js frontend pulling posts from a WordPress REST API, the same headless setup we'd build for a client who wants WordPress's editing experience without WordPress rendering the pages.
Either way, you get a fixed estimate before anything starts, a staging link once there's something worth looking at, and a build that's still yours to maintain after we hand it over. No proprietary page builder locking you into us.
Pixel2html.com is itself a Next.js frontend pulling content from a WordPress REST API. The exact setup described above, not just a claim.
Tools & platforms we use
What's included
Built from your Figma or PSD files, not a modified stock theme, and matched to the design down to spacing and type.
Custom blocks and field groups that match how your editors actually write and structure content, not a wall of grey admin fields.
WordPress as the content source, a Next.js or React frontend doing the rendering. Faster pages, same editing experience your team already knows.
Custom functionality when an off-the-shelf plugin doesn't quite fit, or cleanup when too many of them are fighting each other.
Moving a site onto WordPress, off it, or merging several WordPress installs into one without losing content, URLs, or search rankings.
Image handling, query optimization, and caching set up properly so the CMS convenience doesn't cost you page speed.

Almost always custom, built to match your design files. If there's a good reason to extend an existing theme instead (budget, timeline, a client's existing investment in it), we'll say so upfront rather than default to a rebuild.
Yes. A lot of our WordPress work is fixing or extending sites we didn't originally build. We'll look at what's there before recommending a rebuild, since sometimes the theme is fine and the real problem is three plugins fighting each other.
It means WordPress handles content and editing while a separate frontend (usually Next.js or React) handles what visitors see. It's worth it when page speed or frontend flexibility matter more than convenience. This site is actually built that way. If your priority is a straightforward marketing site, traditional WordPress is usually the simpler, cheaper option.
We can, or we can hand off to whoever manages your hosting today. Either way, we'll leave documentation and a codebase that doesn't need us specifically to keep running.
We build with Gutenberg and ACF by default since they hold up better long-term. We can also work within Elementor or another builder if that's what your team already uses to edit content.

Not ready for a full brief? Send a question and a developer who works on this will answer it, usually within one business day. No sales call, no obligation.
Already have designs or a scope? Send a full project brief instead.
Ready to get started?
Send a Figma file, an existing WordPress site that needs work, or just a rough brief. We'll scope a small first project so you can see how we handle a real handoff before committing to more.
If the first milestone doesn't match the brief, we'll revise it at no extra cost.
