BigCommerce generally allows more checkout customization on standard plans and has stronger built-in B2B features. Shopify has a larger app ecosystem and is often simpler for straightforward direct-to-consumer stores. Both are solid hosted platforms; the right one depends on how much checkout flexibility and B2B functionality you need.
