Solutions

Development support built around the problem, not a fixed package

Not every project needs a new build. Migration, extra capacity, project recovery, performance work and ongoing maintenance all come up after a site or app already exists, and each needs a different kind of help.

Overview

Six situations, not six sizes of the same package

Services covers building something new. Solutions covers what comes up around a site or app that already exists: it needs to move to a new platform, your team needs more hands for a stretch, a project stalled before launch, pages load too slowly, or nobody's kept it updated in a while.

Each of these gets scoped on its own terms rather than squeezed into a generic support retainer. A migration has a start and an end. Dedicated capacity is ongoing until you don't need it anymore. Recovery starts with an honest audit before anyone quotes a fix. Tell us which situation you're in and we'll scope it accordingly.

Why work with us

What holds across every kind of support

Scoped to the actual problem

No default package. We look at what's actually going on before proposing how to fix or support it.

Senior developers only

The same standard as a new build: experienced developers, not junior staff learning on a support ticket.

No long lock-in

Engagements run as long as the situation needs them to, not a fixed contract term you have to justify ending early.

Direct communication

You reach the people doing the work, not a ticketing queue with a rotating cast behind it.

Questions

Common questions about Solutions engagements

4 questions

How is this different from Services?

Services is for building something new: a site, a store, an app. Solutions is for everything that comes up around something that already exists, moving it, supporting it, fixing it, or speeding it up. If you're not sure which one fits, describe the situation and we'll point you to the right one.

Do these engagements need a fixed contract length?

No. Migration and recovery work naturally have an end point once the job's done. Dedicated support and maintenance can run as long as you need the capacity, and either can wind down with reasonable notice rather than a locked term.

Can a solutions engagement turn into a new project?

Regularly does. Performance work turns up a case for a rebuild, or overflow support on one project turns into a second, larger engagement once there's trust built up. We're happy to scope that as it comes up rather than treating it as a separate sales conversation.

Do you work with our existing team or take over entirely?

Either. Some clients want us embedded alongside their own developers, working the same sprints and tools. Others want a project handed over completely. Tell us which one fits and we'll set the engagement up around it.

Ready to get started?

Tell us the situation, we'll tell you how to approach it

Migration, capacity, recovery, performance or maintenance, send the details and we'll come back with a clear recommendation and a fixed estimate where the work has a defined scope.

If the first milestone doesn't match the agreed brief, we'll revise it at no extra cost.
