Native iOS & Android App Development

Native apps built in Swift and SwiftUI for iOS, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android, for products where performance and deep platform integration matter most.

Overview

Two codebases, in exchange for the best of what each platform offers

Native development means writing the iOS app in Swift and the Android app in Kotlin separately, rather than sharing one codebase across both. It's more work upfront and more to maintain long-term, and it's worth that cost when the app needs the best possible performance, deep integration with platform-specific features, or a genuinely native feel that cross-platform frameworks approximate but don't fully replicate.

We build with SwiftUI on iOS and Jetpack Compose on Android, the current standard toolkits on each platform, matched to your designs and respecting each platform's own interaction conventions rather than forcing one design across both.

What's included

Built to each platform's own standards

Native iOS app development

Built in Swift and SwiftUI, matched to your designs and Apple's own interaction patterns.

Native Android app development

Built in Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, respecting Android's own design conventions rather than a direct iOS port.

App Store & Play Store submission

Handled end to end, including the metadata and review requirements each store expects.

Platform-specific feature integration

Push notifications, biometric auth, deep linking and other native capabilities wired in properly, not bolted on.

Questions

Common questions about native app projects

4 questions

Why go native instead of cross-platform?

Mainly performance and platform depth. Native apps get the fastest possible performance and full access to every platform API the moment it's released, without waiting for a cross-platform framework to catch up. It costs more to build and maintain two codebases, which is the real tradeoff.

Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?

Yes, including developer account setup if you don't already have one, and navigating each store's review guidelines, which differ meaningfully between Apple and Google.

Can you build for just one platform first?

Yes, plenty of apps launch on iOS or Android first and add the second platform once there's traction. We'll build the first platform in a way that makes adding the second one later straightforward.

How long does a native app typically take to build?

Depends heavily on feature scope, and building two native codebases takes longer than one cross-platform codebase covering both. We'll give you a realistic timeline once we understand what the app actually needs to do.

Quick question?

Ask us about iOS & Android Apps

Not ready for a full brief? Send a question and a developer who works on this will answer it, usually within one business day. No sales call, no obligation.

Already have designs or a scope? Send a full project brief instead.

Ready to get started?

Tell us about the app and which platform comes first.

Send your designs or requirements and we'll come back with a fixed estimate for native iOS, Android, or both.

If the first milestone doesn't match the brief, we'll revise it at no extra cost.
