Mobile App Development

Native iOS and Android apps, React Native and Flutter builds, and the API integration and ongoing maintenance work that keeps a mobile app running after launch.

Overview

Native, cross-platform, or somewhere in between

The native versus cross-platform decision comes down to a real tradeoff, not a matter of taste. Native (Swift for iOS, Kotlin for Android) gets the best performance and access to every platform feature, at the cost of maintaining two separate codebases. React Native and Flutter share one codebase across both platforms, at a small cost to how deep native integrations can go.

We build both, and we'd rather walk through your specific requirements (how native-feeling the app needs to feel, your timeline, whether one team can realistically maintain two codebases) than default to whichever approach we happen to prefer. Once that's settled, the work is the same standard as anything else: built from your designs, tested properly, submitted cleanly to the App Store and Play Store.

Why work with us

What stays the same, native or cross-platform

Built from your designs

Screens matched to your Figma files, including platform-specific conventions where they matter.

Tested on real devices

Checked across actual iOS and Android hardware, not just simulators, before anything ships.

Store submission handled

App Store and Play Store submission, including the review requirements that trip up a first-time submission.

Support after launch

Apps need updates for new OS versions even when nothing else changes. We stay reachable for that.

Questions

Common questions about mobile app projects

4 questions

Native, React Native or Flutter, which should we choose?

Depends on your priorities. Native if performance and deep platform integration matter most and you can support two codebases. React Native or Flutter if a shared codebase and faster, cheaper development matter more. Tell us what the app needs to do and we'll recommend one honestly.

Do you handle App Store and Play Store submission?

Yes, including the account setup, review guidelines and metadata requirements that catch a lot of first-time submissions off guard.

Can you take over an app you didn't originally build?

Often, yes. We'll review the existing codebase first, since sometimes it needs a rebuild and sometimes it just needs updates and a maintenance plan.

How do you handle backend and API integration?

We integrate against your existing backend, whether that's a REST API, GraphQL, or a service like Firebase. We don't build backend infrastructure ourselves, but connecting the app to it is a core part of the work.

Tell us what the app needs to do, we'll recommend the approach

Send your requirements or designs and we'll come back with a native versus cross-platform recommendation and a fixed estimate.

If the first milestone doesn't match the agreed brief, we'll revise it at no extra cost.
