Migration planning & data mapping
Every data type, products, customers, orders, mapped to its destination before the migration starts.
Overview
Moving a store between platforms is usually straightforward on the surface: export data, import it elsewhere, point the domain at the new store. The risk is in the details that get missed, redirects that don't map cleanly, customer accounts that don't carry over, order history that gets left behind, all of which can cost real revenue and search visibility if they're rushed.
We plan the migration around your specific data (products, customers, orders, content) before touching anything, map old URLs to new ones so search rankings transfer instead of resetting, and run the new store in parallel for QA before the old one goes offline.
The most common move right now is Magento to Shopify. Older Magento 2 versions are losing security support, and for many mid-sized stores Shopify costs far less to run than hosting and maintaining Magento. We also move stores off PrestaShop, OpenCart, Wix and Squarespace, and onto WooCommerce or headless setups where those fit better.

Not if it's planned properly. The biggest risk is broken or missing redirects from old URLs to new ones, which we map out before the migration starts rather than fixing after rankings have already dropped.
Depends on catalog size and how much customization the current store has, but most migrations run a few weeks from planning to launch, including a QA period running the new store in parallel with the old one.
In most cases, yes, though how much historical data transfers depends on what the destination platform supports and how the current platform stores it. We'll tell you upfront if anything won't carry over cleanly.
Not always. For some stores it makes sense to modernise in stages, theme first, then backend, rather than a single cutover. We'll recommend whichever approach carries less risk for your specific store.
